This blog is about Chapter 27, World War I. Throughout this chapter, we will be learning about World War I, mostly in Europe. While most of us studied WWI last year in US history, this year we are getting to learn more about what went on overseas, in the area where the actual fighting happened. I think that this will be an exciting chapter, with a new point of view about what happened in WWI. I hope to learn more about how the war went on, and how it was received in Europe, rather than in America. I want to learn more than just the one side of the story that I already know.
Essential Question
My question is:
How much damage did the war do to Europe? -Tons! Europe was ripped apart, especially Germany. Germany's economy was failing because of the war reparations, and many Germans were starving because of the blockade. Europe became very split and there was a lot of tension between countries that were right next to each other on the map.
